Bamboo Beauty: How Bamboo Can Keep You Young

Bamboo is packed with silica. Think of the tall, slender stalks that bend in the wind, but don’t break. Bamboo is one of the strongest plants on earth. That same silica that allows bamboo such suppleness and flexibility is what keeps your skin firm. The problem is, you start to lose the silica in your body in your 40’s. That’s when the wrinkles set in. Unfortunately, you can’t digest silica in a solid form. However, you can drink tea. And you can absorb it through your skin.

Bamboo tea is sweet and light. We harvest it here in Panama from the green bamboo that grows wild in the islands. I like it better than green tea, as it doesn’t have that bitter after taste. Drinking bamboo tea is a great way to add silica to your diet and keep your skin, bones, hair, muscles…pretty much everything that needs to be strong and elastic…in great shape! Check out our WILD SHOP where you can order a tin of our Wild Bamboo Tea.

Another great way to get more skin rejuvenating silica is through your skin. I swear by our bamboo enriched daily face cream. We soak the bamboo in coconut oil for weeks to extract the precious silica from the leaves. Then we make a rich face cream that includes organic aloe sourced from a farm in the northern part of Costa Rica. Add extracts from other wild botanicals like banana blossom, hibiscus flower, lemongrass, papaya leaf and cacao leaf and a touch organic rainforest honey and voila! …the perfect Fountain of Youth daily facial cream!

You can find Fountain of Youth Face Cream in our WILD SHOP at www.wildrainforestorganics.com. When you are there, pick up an extra jar and we will donate food to help feed a hungry family with our CHANGE the WOLRD program.
Remember, we are all in this crazy world together!
